

The Harmony Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Chamber Director
Position Status: Part-time, 20-25 hours a week
Pay: $18-20/hr.
Reports to: Board of Directors

The Harmony Chamber of Commerce Director works together with the membership to enhance and improve the economic, civic, and cultural interests of the town of Harmony. They are responsible for events and projects that engage both community members and visitors. The Director leads advertising, promotion of our community and businesses, communicates with the Membership, coordinates Visitor Center staffing, and is a collaborator with other area Chambers and civic organizations. Flexible schedule based around events, seasonal tasks, and workflow.
Skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
- Experience in adhering to a strict budget
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Skilled in social media marketing
- Experience in planning and managing a range of events and meetings
- Attention to detail
- Public speaking skills

The Harmony Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking assistants to welcome visitors, assist with administrative tasks and events this summer season.
Seasonal, Part-time
May- September
12 hours / week
2 days / week
Some Saturdays required
$13-15 per hour based on experience
Chamber Assistant Job Description
- Greet and assist visitors in the Visitor Center. Provide information and promote local businesses.
- Call volunteers and maintain the visitor center schedule. Update volunteer records including contact information, availability and volunteer hours.
- Update and maintain hallway kiosks and bulletin board. Order and stock brochures, update flyers etc.
- Check voicemail and answer telephone, take messages or return calls as needed.
- Prepare Visitor Guides to be mailed out.
- Maintain Visitor Center materials including visitor tracking log, bike share forms, phone message log etc.
- Assist with special events including 4th of July, HACC Golf Tournament and Back Alley Jams.
- Assist Director with HACC mailings and event material preparation as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Director or Chamber Board
Cleaning Duties
- Clean glass on display cases and doors, dust, and vacuum as needed.
- Keep the Visitor Center area and displays uncluttered and tidy.
- Check restrooms periodically for working order and report issues to director.
- Water Plants, change water in flower vases as needed.
